How many uplighters do you use for a typical gala room?
A ballroom usually wants 12 to 24 battery-powered LED uplighters depending on pillar count and wall length. The walkthrough is where we count them off the room. The aim is a warm consistent wash with no dark patches behind the head table.
How do you handle speeches during dinner service?
Two wireless handhelds live with the operator. As each speaker stands, the mic is handed over, hot, with the level already set. Speeches stay clean and the room stays warm because the rig was never the loud thing in the corner.
Can you provide a live impact screen for charity galas?
Yes. We patch a graphics laptop or live pledge platform into the projection screen, so the impact number, cause story or sponsor reel reads from the back of the room. The screen is sized to the room rather than maxed out, so it never overpowers the dinner.
How quickly can you respond to a gala enquiry?

Do you cover venues outside Manchester city centre?
Yes. Greater Manchester boroughs (Salford, Stockport, Trafford, Bolton), Cheshire, Lancashire, and Liverpool to Leeds for the regular run. Gala venues outside that map are still possible.
Will the rig stay tidy on camera if we’re hiring a photographer?
Yes. PA stands placed for clean room shots, lectern dressed plain or with a venue-friendly drape, lighting fixtures hidden behind pillars or against walls. The walkthrough covers photography sight lines.
What if our gala venue already has installed AV?
Many ballrooms have lights sized for room set-up, not gala mood, and a PA built for background music rather than speech. We supplement (uplighting, speech mics, screen) or replace where the installed kit will not hold the see-and-hear guarantee.
