What we hire

The kit list for a wedding that sounds and feels right.

A wedding day is three events in one. Ceremony needs gentle, discreet sound that doesn’t look like a conference rig. Reception needs warm light and speech mics the back of the room can hear. Evening needs a dance floor that pulls people up. Same rig, three personalities.

  • Discreet ceremony PA on a low matte stand with a lapel for the celebrant and a handheld for readings
  • Two wireless handhelds for the speeches (best man, father of the bride, couple)
  • RCF 915 or d&b dance-floor PA, scoped to your guest count
  • Warm amber LED uplighting on the reception walls
  • Festoon string lighting over the dance floor or garden
  • DJ-friendly mix point with a clean stereo feed to the room
  • One operator on site through ceremony, speeches and evening

Packages from £118 (RCF 312 two-speaker PA, dry hire) up to fully operated wedding days with ceremony PA, uplighting, festoon and a d&b dance-floor rig.

Every guest, from the back of the ceremony to the last seat at speeches, will clearly see and clearly hear the moments that matter.

Our promise on every event we run in Manchester. See how it works.

What our clients say

★★★★★

“Utterly professional in every respect. Steven provided a full band setup (stage, PA, lights, live mixing) in a non-conventional 5m x 35m space for my wedding. The setup worked perfectly and the band sounded the best I have heard them in any venue.”

Kit Gallagher

★★★★★

“PA Hire Manchester set up a full system for our family marquee wedding and helped the band soundcheck, as well as a smaller PA for the outdoor element of the service. Absolutely can not recommend them enough.”

George G

★★★★★

“Steven and his team were absolutely amazing to work with. They provided me with such a professional service and truly went above and beyond in every aspect of the rental. The gear was in perfect condition.”

Wedding AV hire Manchester: questions we hear most

Straight answers, the ones organisers ask before booking.

How much does wedding AV hire in Manchester cost?

It depends on the venue and the day. Entry is a two-speaker RCF 312 PA at £118 dry hire, fine for couples handling speeches themselves. Delivered packages with ceremony PA, speech mics, uplighting and a dance-floor rig are from £400. Fully operated wedding days with the same operator from walk-in to last dance are typically from £2,000.

Do you provide the DJ as well?

No. We provide the PA, mics, lighting and dance-floor sound. Couples either bring their own DJ (we provide a clean stereo feed for them) or use the venue’s DJ. We recommend a few DJs we’ve had clean handovers with.

Can you make the ceremony PA disappear in the photos?

Yes. Matte black speaker on a low stand placed off the aisle, lapel mic on the celebrant, no visible cables. Photographers thank us afterwards.

How do you handle outdoor ceremonies?

Battery-powered PA, weather-aware mic choice and a wet-weather contingency planned with you at the walkthrough. If the ceremony moves indoors at the last minute, the kit moves with it without panic.

How quickly can you respond to a wedding enquiry?

Same working day. Steven answers his own enquiries. If you send the form before 4pm we’ll get a written response back the same day, with a date for a free venue walkthrough.

Do you cover venues outside Manchester city centre?

Yes. Greater Manchester boroughs (Salford, Stockport, Trafford, Bolton), Cheshire, Lancashire, and Liverpool to Leeds for the regular run. Wedding venues outside that map are still possible.

Will the rig be tidy on the wedding photos?

Yes. PA stands placed for clean ceremony and speech shots, festoon strung above guest sightlines, uplighting against walls. The walkthrough covers photography angles for the day.

What if our wedding venue already has installed AV?

Many venues have an installed PA built for background music, not for vows and speeches at the back of the room. We typically install discreet ceremony PA and speech mics alongside their kit, and use the room PA for music if it’s up to the job.

Advice to event organisers

Four things to get right before Wedding day

Practical guidance from 21+ years of running these events. The little decisions that quietly make the day land.

Hide the ceremony PA from the photos

Matte black speaker on a low stand, placed off the aisle, no visible cables. Photographers thank us afterwards. We agree the position with you and the photographer at the walkthrough.

Decide the music workflow before the day

Processional, register signing and recessional all need cues. A dedicated music playback device handed to the venue’s usher beats fiddling with a phone halfway down the aisle.

Treat speeches as their own moment

Best man, father of the bride, the couple. Two wireless handhelds, handed over hot, the operator riding the level. Speeches stay clean even when the room has had two drinks.

Hand off cleanly to the DJ

Give the DJ a clean stereo feed to plug into. We tune the room PA so the dance floor sounds tight without scaring the back tables.
